Gift Guide 2016: Budget Friendly.

Let’s face it. The Holidays are a stressful time of year. A lot of people probably can’t afford to be spending hundreds of dollars on presents, so I’m rounding up some of my favorite budget friendly presents that I like to do this time of year.

Mason jars filled with: Oh She Glows Raspberry Chia Seed Jam,  Oh She Glows Maple Cinnamon Almond ButterOSG’s  granola recipe,  Ina’s Granola, or Eat Live Run Snickerdoodle Mix. I haven’t tried Ina’s Granola recipe yet, but all her recipes are always good, so I may have to make up a batch this Holiday season! I have made all of the other recipes and they have been loved by all. This is definitely a great thing to gift siblings, parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents with.  Who doesn’t like tasty homemade foods made with love?

Homemade cookies: I love to make cookie dough, roll the dough out onto wax or parchment paper, put it in a freezer safe bag and freeze the dough until I use it. I sometimes bake up a batch of the cookies and bring them to the recipient’s house in addition to gifting them with the extra dough to keep in their fridge or freezer until use. People or at least my parents love this because they usually love the cookies I make and then are excited when I make extra for them to break and bake whenever they’d like! Just make sure to include baking instructions.  Some of my favorite cookie recipes: Ina’s Salty Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies and Joy The Baker’s Brown Butter Cookies.

A basket filled with treats: This is a great gift for parents as they deserve the best. Take a trip to your local gourmet grocery store and fill this with things like Coffee, Tea, Chocolate, Crackers, Cheeses, Jam, and Wine. This one may end up costing a little more than my other suggested items, so you could mix and match homemade items with gourmet grocery items in the basket.

Gift Guide 2016: For Him.

I always find it so hard to pick out gifts for Men, but these would definitely be nice presents for any man in your life.forhimxmas.png

Row Two – Compression Socks, Cashmere Scarf, Cocktail Shaker, Bose HeadphonesSavor Beauty After-Shave Ritual, BRIC’s Duffel Bag.

The Details:

Ernest Alexander Messenger Bag is great for the career man who has a daily commute on public transportation and needs a place to store all his stuff.

Burberry Hat looks sharp and delivers warmth.

Aesop Hand Cream is not just for women! Anyone and everyone should use this hand cream.

This Cashmere Scarf and this Cashmere Scarf are styling, good quality, and shield him from the freezing cold.

Compression Socks are great to wear if you’re sitting all day at your job or going on an airplane flight.

Cocktail Shaker that’s a classic design never to go out of style.

Bose Headphones that cancel out noise and make commuting on public transportation more enjoyable.

Savor Beauty After-Shave Ritual is a great way to slowly introduce natural skincare products to your man. We all want the best for our loved ones!

BRIC’s Duffel Bag – This bag is the best thing ever. I love BRIC’s and often borrow Kraig’s duffel bag when I travel because it’s so lightweight, looks smart and fits so much into it.

Not Pictured Above, but things I always consider good presents for him: Tickets to a sports game or Concert, Airplane Tickets, A Surprise Trip, Baked goods, Massage Gift Card, or any type of experience you can gift them with.  Another good idea would be buying them a subscription to Netflix or Spotify Premium. I also think a nice camera that can take pictures and videos is great for any Dads or millennials out there. Millenials love having all types of technology and Dads love to have a device to document their children growing up and on family vacations.
