Something happens to you when you turn 30. You look in the mirror and realize your skin isn’t as young and vibrant as it use to be. You up your skincare game a bit and then a year goes by, you turn 31 and realize things just keep getting worse. This is how I’ve been feeling since I turned 30. To help me fight the you’re not in your twenties anymore blues, I’ve started to use the Shisheido Retinol Face and Eye Masks. I found these masks by the rave reviews on the Sephora website and decided that I needed to give them a try for myself.
The Shiseido Benefiance Pure Retinol Intensive Revitalizing Face Mask makes you look like you’re dressed for Halloween while wearing the mask, but the results are worth it. Simply follow the instructions in the package (applying mask to clean skin), leave on for 15 minutes, peel the two sheets off, gently massage any excess into your skin and then follow your nighttime skincare routine of moisturizers/eye cream, etc. I noticed my skin is a lot brighter and tighter after using this mask . It even looked more radiant for days after use which is an added bonus. I feel like it gave my skin a more youthful, healthy glow and love the results from this mask. I also read that Katie Lee likes to use Shisheido face masks and she is gorgeous, so I knew this had to be a winner. I would definitely recommend this product if you’re in the market for something like this. More information from the company website:
The Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Mask slowly diminishes wrinkles around the eye area over time. The skin appears a little more youthful and wrinkles reduce a bit after each mask use. I notice more of a result each time I use this. To use, I wash my face, pat dry, apply my face serum, wear the eye mask for 15 minutes, peel off, gently tap in any excess around the eye area, and then follow my normal skincare routine of eye cream, moisturizer, and face oil. It’s important to note that this does not help fight bags under the eyes. At least not for me. I strictly see results against fighting Wrinkles. More information from the company website:
As I’ve mentioned before, I have very sensitive skin so I do not do these face masks more than once a week. If I do the eye mask one week, I will not do the face mask that week too. I’ll wait until the next week to do the face mask. Retinol also makes you sensitive to the sun, so you should only use these masks at night and make sure you use a good SPF the next day. I make sure not to use these masks if I know I’ll be outdoors a lot that week with a lot of sun exposure. Since these are pricey masks and my skin is so sensitive, I tend to only do two a month to stretch my dollar further. Both of these masks help fight wrinkles and provide a more youthful look to my face, so I think these are definitely worth the splurge.
