Trish McEvoy Beauty Balm.

I have been loving the Trish McEvoy Beauty Balm this year. I’ve been suffering from some seriously terrible hormonal breakouts around my chin and jawline every month that have made me feel extremely self conscious. I also tend to have a lot of facial redness which can flare up from stress, heat, alcohol, spicy food, or exercise. In February, I got stuck in LA on an unexpected 48 hour layover to New Zealand. As a result of this, we stayed with Kraig’s cousin and wife in Santa Monica during our layover. California is definitely a wonderful place to be “stuck” and we enjoyed our time there despite the fact that it cut into our precious time for New Zealand. One day we took a walk around the neighborhood and I spotted a Blue Mercury store. I went inside desperate to find a new foundation or tinted moisturizer. I let the Beauty Consultant there know that I’ve been using Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation and Tinted Moisturizer, but felt like they both made me breakout even more. He actually said this happens to a lot of people and that the Silk Creme Foundation was too heavy for me to be wearing as an everyday beauty product. He basically took all the product off my face that I was wearing and gave me a mini makeover in 15 minutes. This is when I fell in love with the Trish McEvoy Beauty Balm in Shade 1.  It gives me a nice healthy glow while helping to hide the redness in my face.  I also love that it has SPF 40 in it. I would say it’s about medium coverage. It doesn’t “hide” zits, but helps cover up some old scars. I also don’t really believe in slathering tons of makeup on over acne unless you’re going to a special event. I just feel like that leads to more zits. He also introduced me to the Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift as an under eye concealer which I’ve been loving a lot too. I think I’ll do another post later showcasing these two products together as a makeup look. This is the first time I’ve ever used a Beauty Balm and was surprised by how much I like it.  Have any of you tried this Beauty Balm?
