A weekend in Nantucket ~ July 2015

Last year I had so much fun at my bachelorette party in Nantucket, so I decided I wanted to go again this year.  Kraig and I spent a long weekend there in July and stayed at The Barnacle Inn.  This is an affordable inn in a great location with friendly innkeepers. It’s walking distance to the downtown area where a lot of restaurants and shops are located.

We rented bikes on Friday and Saturday and biked to Cisco Brewery and a few beaches. You can get my striped long sleeve shirt here. It’s on sale for $24.99!

The second day was spent at my favorite beach in Nantucket. Surfside beach is the best because it has public restrooms, a big beautiful beach, and a snack bar with very good beach food. While we were eating our lunch, an older couple sat next to us and told us they came just for the burgers. So it’s not just beach goers eating here.

Make sure to pack lots of cash with you for your trip because they don’t have many ATMs there.  It was Kraig’s first time visiting Nantucket and he loved it too. Looks like we’ll have many more trips there together throughout our marriage. 🙂

The Details. I have to preface this by saying that I loved the food at all the places we ate at.

Bike Rentals from Youngs.

Lunch – Something Natural on Friday, Beach Bar on Saturday (so good), and Provisions on Sunday. Provisions is right near the ferry, so it’s a perfect place to grab a sandwich before you get on your ferry ride home.

Dinner – The first night was at The Proprietors. The food and service were great. They had innovative dessert that I didn’t care for, but the rest of the food was delicious. The second night was at Company Of The Cauldron.  This place was scrumptious and a very romantic atmosphere.

Drinks – Cisco BreweryThe Slip and Cru.

Ice Cream – The Juice Bar.

I can’t wait to go back to Nantucket next summer! 🙂
