My friend recently complimented me on my cute sneaker game so I thought I’d round up some cute and comfortable footwear selections for you all. Boston is filled with cobblestone streets, potholes, walking to and from the train station, and speed walkers. It’s not a high heeled or wedge friendly city. Here are some cute and functional footwear options for those of you that aren’t into high heels.
Top Row: Navy Rose Gold New Balance Sneakers and Black New Balance Sneakers. I actually own both pairs of these sneakers from J.Crew and they’re super comfortable. They can be worn year round and look very cute with a pair of skinny jeans. I can get away with walking pretty far in both of these shoes and enjoy the cushion and support that they provide my feet with. I highly recommend buying a pair of these. I hope J.Crew and New Balance continue to do wonderful collaborations together like this every year.
Second Row: Copper Birkenstocks, Spectacular Platinum Birkenstocks, Cole Haan Crisscross Sandals which come in three cute colors (black, tan, and gold glitter). I know, I know, I know…Birkenstocks? Well Flip Flops really hurt my hips and knees when I wear them so I’m on the hunt for another shoe to wear to the beach/pool/whenever during the warmer months that will be easy to get on and off. I think the Copper and Spectacular Platinum Colors are super cute. I’ve never owned a pair of Birkenstocks before, but need to try these both on to see which ones I’ll keep. I’m hoping one is a winner for me. The Cole Haan Crisscross Sandals look like the perfect combination of comfort meets sophistication. These would be great to wear with a cute dress in the Spring or Summer and they come in such great colors.
Third Row: Superga Sneakers, Old Navy Canvas Sneakers. The Superga Sneakers aren’t the most comfortable shoe in the world, but they’re comfortable in comparison to flip flops or some other sandals without much support. They’re sleek enough that you can get away pairing these with skirts, dresses, and shorts in the Summertime when commuting to and from the train. They also look great with skinny jeans and come in a whole array of colors. The Old Navy Canvas Sneakers have great reviews online and come in tons of cute prints and colors. I may need to snag a pair in the floral or cactus print.
I didn’t put any flats in this post because I don’t currently have a flat brand I love. I know Tieks are supposed to be awesome, but I haven’t tried them personally yet. One day! I know several people that have them and swear they’re super comfortable. What are some of your favorite cute and functional shoes?
*P.S. Sorry if my footwear photo collage is not the best quality. I’m working with Snipping Tool and Paint. Working with what I have. 🙂
