I wanted to make a post rounding up some of my favorite drugstore beauty products. It turns out most of my favorite drugstore products are by Burt’s Bees. You know I love luxury beauty products as much as the next beauty blogger, but it’s not always financially realistic. These are some of my favorite drugstore standby products that I know I can pick up at CVS or Target right away when whatever is in my beauty cabinet runs out or I’m budgeting to spend less money on beauty products at that time.
Burt’s Bees Renewal Day Lotion with SPF 30. This is a great everyday moisturizer to layer on your face for moisture and protection from the sun. It layers well under my makeup and soaks in nicely to my dry skin. It’s designed to firm the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles which are both great benefits in my book. This isn’t strong enough to protect you at the beach, but a great everyday face moisturizer with SPF. See it in action here and here.
Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream is a night time moisturizer that’s designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles while providing deep moisture. I like to layer this over a hydrating facial mist and then follow up with a hydrating serum afterwards. Don’t forget to moisturize your neck and decolletage too. *Update, since I’m currently pregnant I’m using the Burt’s Bees Renewal Night Cream instead. I’m actually liking this more than the intense hydration night cream so it’s a win-win. The Intense Hydration Night Cream has Clarly Sage in it which you’re supposed to avoid while pregnant. The Renewal Night Cream is hydrating, toning, and lifting and leaves my skin fully moisturized even during the cold Winter months without breaking me out.
Burt’s Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion is a refreshing foot lotion to massage onto your feet after a long day. I’m obsessed with google image searching Reflexology Foot Charts on our iPad and giving myself foot massages with this stuff. Kraig says that the iPad always has a foot reflexology chart page open when he goes to use it. This is a great way to relax before bed. If you’re pregnant try the Burt’s Bees Mama Bee Leg and Foot Creme. I haven’t tried it yet, but plan on purchasing it soon because it has good reviews. It looks very similar to the Mamma Mio Cooling Legs Lotion I’ve been using, but at a much cheaper price!
And on another note, I thought it may be worth throwing in some other non Burt’s Bees drugstore products not pictured above that I love.
Aveeno Shaving Cream is wonderful for sensitive skin and a great unisex shaving cream. My husband and I share it. My Mom’s dermatologist recommended this shaving cream for people with sensitive skin and I have been using it for years.
Essie Nail Polish is a gold mine at Target. I love going into this section of the store to see all the fun colors!
What are some of your favorite drugstore beauty products?
interesting.I USE AVEENO but may be checking out Burts bees. Yes I am looking for a good night cream.
I’ve been using Weleda Skin Food as a night cream this Winter. It works pretty well for deep moisture and they sell it at Target!
oh thanks
