What To Pack For A Tropical Babymoon.

I thought it’d be fun to round up some items to pack for a Tropical Babymoon. Some great Zika free locations are Hawaii, Bermuda, and New Zealand. In case you’re curious, the CDC website will give you updated information on Zika. Make sure to check in with your doctor before traveling. OK, enough with the Mom speech from me. On to Babymoon essentials!

Swimwear

Let me start off by saying that I do not feel comfortable wearing a bikini while pregnant for several reasons. I tried on dozens of swimsuits and wanted to share with you one I own and love and one I discovered after my trip, but didn’t get to try.

Momo Maternity Swimuit.

This swimsuit is great for ladies with long torsos like me that have trouble finding a one piece swimsuit that will fit them lengthwise. It was very easy to get on and off and didn’t stick to you while trying to use the bathroom. Despite being a plain back swimsuit, I still thought it was cute and flattering and definitely recommend giving this suit a try!

Kortni Jeane Maternity Bottoms.

Where was this brand when I was trying on all the swimsuits in the world? Their suits come in tons adorable prints and colors and I will definitely consider purchasing one of their suits if I ever have another pregnancy that requires a swimsuit.

Seraphine also has a ton of cute maternity suits, but they weren’t able to ship to me in time for my trip.

Beach Cover Ups

Seraphine Maternity Kaftan

I ordered this Kaftan for my trip, but the warehouse had a delay in shipping, so I sadly didn’t receive it in time. I think this would be an adorable maternity beach cover up and so chic.

I wore a couple of my old Jen’s Pirate Booty beach cover ups. They aren’t maternity, but so over-sized that they could fit your bump. I found a similar one here.

Sandals

Copper Birkenstocks

I think the Copper Birkenstocks are so cute and comfortable. They provide great support for your feet and are perfect for a pregnant women so you can just slip your shoes on without having to bend over.  Flip flops make my hips ache so Birkenstocks have been a much better sandal option for me at the beach.

Cole Haan Anica Crisscross Sandals

These come in a nice assortment of colors, but I stuck with the black color to match some of my outfits. They’re pretty comfortable and another shoe that’s easy to slip on and off without having to bend over your belly and reach your feet.

Sunglasses

I love my classic Ray Ban Aviators and have also been loving these ones by Le Specs.

Dresses

Ingrid & Isabel Ruched Maternity Tank Dress.

I got this in the color Azalea and love it. My sister gave me some similar hand me down dresses like this in different colors as well. The dresses are comfortable, flatter a baby bump, and take the guessing out of what to wear. Just pair one with a pair of sandals and you’re ready to go.

Ingrid & Isabel Dot Lace Maternity Dress.

This would look great with some brightly colored earrings and a cute pair of sandals. It has a 70’s vibe to it that I totally love.

ASOS Maternity Dress in Scatter Spot

This dress can be worn throughout all the seasons. Pair it with leggings, a cardigan, and boots during the colder days or with a pair of black sandals on warmer day like on your babymoon.

Pajamas

I have been loving these Seraphine Pajamas and have been wearing them throughout my whole pregnancy. They’re super comfortable and wearable throughout most seasons except in heat. I wore them in some air conditioned hotel rooms, but definitely not for a warm hotel room.

Belabumbum ‘Tallulah’ Nursing Chemise

I may not be nursing yet because baby isn’t here, but this chemise fits a pregnant woman well and is super cute.

Hats

J. Crew Packable Straw Hat and Wide-Brim Packable Straw Hat. I have both of these hats and absolutely love both of them. No more hats getting damaged while traveling! They both survived in my suitcase. I like to use the Packable Straw Hat for regular daytime activities and the Wide-Brim Packable Straw Hat for trips to the pool or beach.

Moisturizer

Burt’s Bees SPF 30 Day Lotion  is a great everyday moisturizer that can be layered under makeup or worn alone.

Mio Skincare The Tummy Rub Oil and Tummy Rub Butter. These two products are amazing. I’ll do a more in detail beauty review on them later, but they’re by far the best products I’ve used to prevent stretch marks and itchiness throughout pregnancy.

Sunscreen –I’m usually a fan on COOLA mineral sunscreen, but on this trip it was peeling off of me and my husband and I’m not sure why. I’m on the hunt for a new sunscreen to wear to the beach.

Bug Spray – I didn’t end up using any bug spray, but you might want to consider packing a pregnancy friendly one depending on where you’re traveling to.

Don’t forget to pack any books you want to read before baby arrives. Soak up your YOU time while it lasts and enjoy this special time with your growing bundle of joy and partner. 🙂
